Happy New Year! Hope you had fun ringing in the New Year. As always, it was fun for us welcoming the New Year watching the ball drop in Times Square on TV…in our jammies with a glass of Rose’ for me and Pinot Noir for the Hubs. It gets no better than that. 🙂
The merriment of the holidays is finally over and today, I’m going to take down all our Christmas decor. The feeling is always bittersweet, so I must wait until next Christmas to revel in the spirit of the season. And before I get carried away some more, let’s head on to the recap for the most wonderful time of the year.
Family
The Hubs looked back on some of his memorable Christmases as well as the amazing year and decade that we had. I also shared about our recent Christmas celebration as well as some tips of getting ready to go to college because our son is almost ready to begin that journey.

Food
One thing to look forward to during the Holidays is food. We stuffed our tummies on Thanksgiving with all the sumptuous food that my SIL prepared. I wasn’t able to share the entrees and the side dishes because I got so busy chatting, but I remembered taking photos of the desserts. Hehe!
Fun
I have been wanting to see the Christmas lights at the North Carolina Arboretum and we finally were able to do it last year. But it’s not the only thing that you get to enjoy during the Holidays here in our city so I made a post and shared more. Check the link below. I also talked about what we’re watching and other things I enjoy in my Currently post.

December flew by, but it was a great month and we sure had a wonderful Christmas spent with family.
How was your December? I hope it was great!

I am glad I am not the only one who stays in on New Years. Having a warm quiet evening with the family and husband and good drink and food is all we need

I hate taking down Christmas decorations too. We put them up in the attic this morning. I just always love the lights and sparkle.

I tend to get a little sad when we take down our decorations. It seems that it’ll take forever before we’re putting them back up.

Looks like you had a wonderful December and holiday. I agree, December flew by fast. I was kinda sad to not have my decorations up still.

The arboretum is beautiful. I have never been to the one in Dallas and I think I am going to have to go check it out one day. I’ll have to check and see if I can take my professional camera along.

We had a chill New Year’s Eve at home too. There’s always so much going on in December that by the end I’m just exhausted and need a few days to decompress before I can even consider putting away any decorations.

It sure did fly by real quick. I think December was pretty great actually. It’s one of my favorite months too, so it was a lot of fun. I’m excited for the new year though.
