Hello, February! Although January seemed to crawl like a turtle, this past week actually seemed to fly by. Weird! But so happy that the love month is finally here because we have a lot to celebrate this month.
Anyhoo, let’s head on to the recap for January before I get carried away. Check out what you might have missed from what we shared here on this little blog of ours last month.
Family, Life, Fun
I looked back at the year that was and also made my goals for this year. I consider it a success when it comes to my goals last year. So this year, I’m going to make it happen again.
Looking forward to watching all the movies coming out in theaters this year, and I also shared what we’ve been watching on Netflix lately on my Currently post.
Bookworm Husband
We already have two bookshelves in the living room that are full of books and guess what? We need more shelves because Hubby has got more books. So yes, he is a certified bookworm and he shared about the books that he read last month – the books that I got him for Christmas.
I Love Food
Anyone else who loves food other than me? 🙂
I shared some recipes that are we truly enjoy over here. Have you tried any of those yet? You should give them a try and let me know what you think. I’m going to make the Filipino-style macaroni again next week. Yum!
- Filipino-Style Macaroni Salad
- Homemade Sourdough Bread
- Spinach and Cheese Omelet
- Pan-Seared Steak with Broccoli & Tomatoes
That’s a wrap!
How was your January? Have a great February!

Your recipes sound awesome, especially the pan seared steak with broccoli and tomatoes.
As to reading, I just don’t enjoy the classics like they should be appreciated. I wish I did, though.

Thanks for the tip on books I need to read or at least know about. You have a few good recipes but making sourdough bread is a great idea.
Sarah Bailey says
I used to look a good book shelf we don’t have room where we live now and I can’t actually read books anymore so we don’t have any – definitely something I miss.

It’s cool that your husband is such an avid reader. I’ve been reading more and more myself these last few years. The macaroni salad sounds like a fun recipe!

I love me so good food too. And good books. I wish I had a bookshelf like your hubby’s but most of my books are electronic these days. I do love the look and feel of a tangible book though!

Yes! I love food and books. I was just looking at the books piling up on our small bookcase and started planning for a much bigger wall of books.
