Yepper, another observance of our special day, our wedding anniversary. ‘Twas 9-years-ago today that Lynndee and I began our journey on that road to forever together. I so remember that day. I even wrote a quite sappy post here while she was at the salon prepping for the magic moment.
But it had already been quite an adventuresome journey for us to reach that memorable day. The main thing was dealing with Uncle Sam and obtaining the proper documents and authorization needed for me to bring her to the U.S. so we could get married. Needless to say, that truly was a bureaucratic nightmare, not to mention the needed plans that had to be made for her to travel from her home city on Mindanao to Manila, a 500 mile trip, for her appointment at the American Embassy to interview for the needed fiancé visa.
Since that time, we truly have experienced many adventures. For one, she just became an American citizen, and certainly many more are yet to come. And with that, I will make this a short visit and close, for now, and go continue our celebration.
It is so great that you cherish your time together and remember the anniversary so lovingly. I hope all couples have such togetherness.
