Happy Monday!
Hope all you moms out there had a wonderful time celebrating Mother’s Day with your favorite people.
As always, my husband and son made me felt so special and loved. They never fail to spoil me and, as always, nail it with all the sweet surprises.
Here’s a card from the hubs.
He always gets me one and it is always pretty and, not to mention, he always adds a very sweet note inside. The note is for my eyes only, though, if you don’t mind. 🙂
A for Anghel.
Anghel is Tagalog (the national language of the Philippines) for angel, and it’s one of the few words of my national language he’s managed to learn. He specifically asked me how to say angel in my language and that’s been his nickname for me ever since, his Anghel. And he’ll be the first one to admit that when it comes to romance, he can be as sappy as anyone. 🙂
To top the special card off, he gave me this beautiful necklace. I heart it so much!
As soon as my son got out of his room, he exclaimed, “Maligayang Araw ng mga Ina!” (it’s Tagalog for Happy Mother’s Day), with an American accent at that. He’s already developed a new accent.
A few minutes after that, here comes a box of donuts delivered to our door. My son ordered them for me. Such a sweet surprise from my unico hijo. That, though is Spanish, for only son. But Filipino history is full of Spanish seeing that Spain colonized my country for 300 years, up until the end of the Spanish-American war.
And he has another thing coming for me in a few days. I am so excited for it.
Then we ordered dinner using our favorite food delivery service app. I’ll be sharing about that dinner on Friday.
After dinner, we binge-watched a show on Netflix. It was already so thrilling and we couldn’t wait another day to finish it. I’ll share about that show on my Currently post soon.
Celebrating Mother’s Day, regardless of where you are, is always wonderful, especially if you’re with your favorite people.
How about you? How did you celebrate Mother’s Day?

Thank you! ♥️
I have not used a food delivery service yet. I have done pizza delivery of course but I have been hesitant to use the food delivery serves because of the extra fee’s
This sounds like a pretty amazing Mother’s Day. I love your necklace.
I am so interested to know what you ate on Mother’s Day. It did have a different feel as no one ate out. It is so nice your kids know your language.
What sweet gifts from your hubby and son! Everyone in my family had to work so I spend the day alone. I had a day of quiet time.
It sounds like a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration! We had an indoor picnic (because it was too cold to go outside.)
I’m glad you had a lovely mother’s day. Those donuts look amazing. I also had a great day!
Aww… You have such a sweet and loving family. Your husband did his best. I love teh card and the necklace. But what I love the most is that box of Donuts! Yum!
This is beautiful and unique! Definitely a Mother’s Day to remember!
I had to talk to my kids and grands over facetime this year and hubby had to work so I spent a quiet day doing whatever I wanted. I loved it!
Sounds like a great day! We ended up going on a hike because the weather was so nice.
Sounds like a wonderful Mother’s Day. I had a pretty good one myself too. I always love it when I get to spend the day with my daughters.
I love the heart doughnuts, so cute. I need, well not need, want some doughnuts.
It is so nice to see the ideas people came up with on this difficult Mother’s Day. I had a blast with my family.
We celebrated with a lovely brunch. We live with my parents, and my sister and her kids came by. We ate outside at separate tables. I prepared linguine carbonara, and fresh baked sourdough bread, and we had mimosas.
That sounds like great idea for mother’s day. I got a fresh fruit salad from my 11 and 8 year old and a card.
That’s a nice card! The necklace is so beautiful and the donuts look scrumptious.
Can I have some donuts? 🙂 I am craving for donuts awhile back and saw this! yumm!
Sure! Please help yourself.
