So today is National Best Friend Day.
In honor of this day, I decided to talk about my girlfriends. I consider them all my best friends since we’ve all been through happy and not so happy times together.
I am thousand of miles away from them at the moment and have been for the past few years, but that didn’t stop us from keeping in touch. Thanks to Facebook for that.
I did see most of them when I visited my home country for a vacation in 2017 and when we buried my Mom in 2018.
These two pictures were taken during my farewell get-togethers in 2010 before I left for the U.S, taken at two different times.
They were all so sweet to give me a send-off get-together before I left. And that’s exactly why they are the chocolate chips in the cookies of my life. 🙂
Friends From College
We all went to the same University in college back in the 90’s, Notre Dame of Dadiangas University to be precise. Yes, we’re all Catholics and went to a private Catholic school for college to earn our Bachelor’s Degree.
We’ve all been friends for almost 30 years now. We’ve all gotten married and have kids except for one. But she is a newlywed and, hopefully, she will have her bundle of joy soon.

Friends From Work
My friendship with these gurls (we call each other gurl) actually started when we were training to become an MT or Medical Transcriptionist in the mid 2000’s.
Then we went to work at the same company after we finished our training and that’s how we all became closer.
I have been friends with them for nearly 20 years now.

Friendship…Brewed to Perfection
One thing we love to do when we hang out is eat. Then have coffee afterwards.
I also have a friend from my first job at this Telecommunication company who is like a sister to me, Lilet. I couldn’t find a picture of just me and her, but she was my Maid of Honor in my first wedding to my late husband.
I don’t have friends that I hang out with here in NC because I haven’t found or met people that I’d like to be friends with after almost 10 years of being here. But I’m totally okay with it because when it comes to friends, I can be very picky and I definitely choose quality.
How about you? Feel free to tell me about your friends. I’d love to hear.

I only have a few really good friends, but I am happy keeping my circle small. They are all other moms because I can’t really relate to non parents at this point.
