We celebrated a decade of marriage last week and the hubs actually blogged about it on that day which he entitled, ‘10: A Milestone Anniversary.’
We love food and we love to eat out, but since the pandemic is still going on, we didn’t want to take any chances so, although the restaurant where we planned to go is open allowing 50% capacity, we decided to just order and have the food delivered to our house.
Even before the pandemic started, we already planned that we’re going to celebrate our anniversary by having dinner at the restaurant where we first had our dinner as newlyweds, but the pandemic changed that plan. The name of the restaurant is Vinnie’s Neighborhood Italian.
First Dinner as Newlyweds
And this was our first dinner as newlyweds taken at Vinnie’s Neighborhood Italian 10 years ago. It’s hubby’s favorite Italian restaurant here in the city and I’d say, they’re one of the best, if not the best here in the city.
Here are the delicious dishes that we ordered and had delivered right to our doorstep.
Linguini & Clams
It had middle neck clams served with red, white, or fra diavolo sauce. This was hubby’s choice.
Twice-Baked Meat Lasagna
I love lasagna but haven’t had it in a while so I chose this for mine.
Calamari Fritti
Our son’s choice. He loves calamari big time. I’ve actually said that in the past how he enjoys calamari so much. It came with marinara.
Red Velvet Cake
Dessert for the night. Our wedding cake’s flavor was red velvet. So I ordered a red velvet cake from Harris Teeter. We ordered our holiday meals from them which were all good so I thought of ordering the cake from them and they sure did not disappoint. This cake was so good! Thing is, they don’t have anniversary cake toppers so I just bought that balloon topper myself.
We made sure to make the most of our quarantine-style 10th anniversary and it was extra-special. Here’s to many more celebrations and good food!
