Happy Spring!
I guess most of us, if not all, are excited that spring has finally sprung. My daffodils are in full bloom which is a pretty sight. But there’s more to look forward to this spring and here’s our list.

1. Warmer Weather
This is on the top of hubby’s list and that’s because he doesn’t like cold weather at all. I don’t like it when it’s too cold, too, but I don’t like it super hot either, just like in my tropical home country. So for me, spring weather is just so fine – not too cold and not too hot.
2. Braves Baseball
My baseball fanatic hubby is itching for baseball season to arrive. I’m excited to see the Braves play again too and cheer them on. We’re also excited to learn that they are going to allow 33% capacity in their ballpark. So let’s see if we’ll make a trip to Atlanta this season.
3. Playing Golf
They had a lot of restrictions last year because of COVID so the hubs just chose not to play at all. He can hardly wait to stroll the links again this year.
4. Cleaning
Our yard is awaiting us. Or I must say, waiting for the hubs. Hehe. There’s going to be a lot of raking, blowing and of course mowing on the horizon for him.
5. Tweeting Birds
Hearing the birds tweeting is always a delight. I’ve been hearing them for days now and their tweets are always music to our ears.
6. Flowers Blooming
It’s just my daffodils that are blooming now, and I can’t wait to see the others show off their beauty.
7. Planting
I always buy hanging plants for our front porch every year. So we’re going to be doing some plant shopping soon. I’m also planning to replant my phlox because they’re not blooming good now.
8. Opening a Window for Fresh Air
There’s nothing better than inhaling fresh air after months of just inhaling whatever toxic air there is in the house . Let us breathe fresh air and let the house breathe as well.
9. Grilling
We love grilled food. Hubby’s the grill master over here and once he replaces the burner unit, he’ll be ready to rumble. 🙂
10. T-shirts and Shorts
Coming from a tropical country, I wear t-shirts and shorts all throughout the year. I do enjoy sweater weather, too, but the comfort of these clothes can’t be beat.
11. Sandals and Flip Flops
Our winter here in the south is not that brutal compared to the winter they have up north. So I usually wear my slip-on sneaks more than my boots. But I would love for my feet to breathe. So I make sure to enjoy my sandals and flip flops in the spring and of course, summer.
12. Longer Days
I’m still trying to get used to the sun still being out while we’re having dinner at 6 o’clock. Back in my home country, the Philippines, the sun is up by 6 o’clock in the morning and down by 6 o’clock in the evening. All day, everyday. And we don’t practice Daylight Saving Time so that’s a totally new concept to me.
13. Easter
We’re still going to celebrate Easter quarantine-style , but we’re going to enjoy some good food, for sure.
14. Spring Break
My son definitely needs a break from school although he’s doing remote learning. And I’m excited for him for that.
15. Mother’s Day
My husband and son always makes this day extra-special for me so I’m always excited to celebrate this with them.
How about you? What are you looking forward to this spring?

I used to enjoy opening my windows in the springtime. But there is just too much pollen floating around in the air. Due to my allergies I have to keep them closed. But I do enjoy being outside when it’s nice out.
