I’ve created a bucket list before of 10 places that I wanted to visit here in the U.S. We were able to visit two from the list, New York City for a Christmas trip and Savannah for a summer vacation. We did get to Chicago, too but only at the airport for our layover on our trip to the Philippines. 🙂 Hopefully, we get to visit more from that list and also from this list. But we’re not in a hurry. One at a time, right?
We were not able to go anywhere last year because of the pandemic. Hopefully we get to do some road trippin’ this year and these are the places that I am considering.
We’ve never been to any of these states or to this neighboring country so, it would be exciting to visit them, for sure.
1) Maine
Lobster is one of the reasons why I want to visit and explore Maine. If you have been following our blog and my social media channels, you already know by now that we are fans of seafood over here. And I could definitely indulge in lobster. Yum! Also, I’ve seen photos of different parts of Maine and they are beautiful.
2) Iowa
Field of Dreams, which starred Kevin Costner, is one of those feel-good movies that we love to watch. It’s actually one of the hubs most favorite movies of all time, as well as the book the movie was based on, Shoeless Joe, which he read before he ever saw the movie. They have made the film location into a tourist attraction and we would love to visit and see it in person.
3) Montana
After watching the TV series “Yellowstone” which also stars Kevin Costner, I fell in love with the beauty of Montana. Those mountain views are gorgeous.
4) Texas
Being the history buff that he is, the hubs has been wanting to see the Alamo in San Antonio ever since he was a kid. I also want to visit the Magnolia Silos in Waco. Other than that, we have relatives in Houston that we’d like to see.
5) Canada
My brother and his family migrated to Quebec a few years ago.. We would love to visit them and perhaps explore other parts of Canada with them, like Banff.
And just like me, the hubs, though already possessing a full bucket of U.S. travels, has many other places he’d love to visit, including the Civil War battlefields he’s yet to see. Number 1 on his personal bucket list is to drive from Chicago to LA on what is considered America’s “Mother Road”, Route 66. He’s already made it a point to take me to many places in the U.S. to introduce me to my new homeland since I arrive here from the Philippines and married him, but this journey would be the ultimate experience and history lesson to a new American citizen and I can hardly wait!

Nice list. I want to go to some of these places as well. Canada is a top one as well as Maine.
I would love to visit Maine for the seafood. I do love fresh lobster.
It sounds like you have some amazing places to visit on your list. I would love to go to Canada and see Niagra Falls myself.

I had no idea you could actually visit the Field of Dreams location, think I will add that one to my bucket list as well.
Some of these places are also included in my bucket list. I love traveling and i miss traveling. They’re very inspiring I’ll probably add some places to my list from here.
I love the Maine coast and hope to go back soon! I would like to visit Oregon and Washington state some time.

Yes, Maine! I just watched a video of Mark Wiens about a clam bake in Cabbage Island and it was a terrific experience.
Ive been to Maine quite a few times. It’s always such a beautiful destination. WOuld love to go back again soon.
There are lots of great places I would love to see. We just went to Mexico and are planning a return trip. We also do lots of little road trips.
I would like to visit Montana too! I saw some pictures and there are so many beautiful places to visit!
