The last few years, I always start the year with ‘A Look Back’ post like this one in 2020 to summarize the happenings of the previous year. This year, I decided to create a post about the highlights of the previous year instead because the year 2021 was sure full of exciting and memorable events. There was a hiccup, but it was nothing! I couldn’t be more thankful and grateful for how 2021 was for us. It sure is one for the books!
Here you go!
10th Year Wedding Anniversary
In February, we celebrated our 10th year of marriage and enjoyed good food. It sure didn’t feel like we’ve been married that long. As they say, time flies when you’re having fun. I still vividly remember that day when my husband’s nephew married us. And this weekend, he’s going to get married himself and we’re looking forward to attending.
18th Birthday
Our son turned 18 in March and he is officially an adult. He’s actually starting to spread his wings. It takes time to getting used to, I believe, but I’ll get there.
High School Graduation
Our son also graduated high school and it was a momentous event. He had virtual learning the entire year because of the pandemic so, we were so excited when they had outdoor commencement exercises. So happy for the Class of 2021!
Birthday Trip to Charleston
We always go somewhere during the summer, but the pandemic hindered it in 2020. So it was fantastic to finally go for a family vacation again and we did it on my birthday. We went to Charleston, South Carolina for my first ever trip to the historic and beautiful port city.
World Series Champions
My husband has been a baseball fan since he was a kid. Just like any other fan, they always hope for their favorite team to win it all, and become the World Series Champions. And the Atlanta Braves did it last year. I watched the entire series the whole time with him and it was so fun and exciting!
Cruise to The Bahamas
Like I said, our son is starting to spread his wings. In December, he flew to Miami and went on a cruise to the Bahamas with his gamer buddies and they had the time of their lives.
It was a wonderful year for us and I hope it was for you, too. Here’s to an amazing 2022 to us all!

Thanks for sharing a recap of your year. 2021 was pretty amazing for your family.
I miss the kids being little. They grow up and have their own families and you hardly ever get to see them. Which it’s good they become independent but still…
Congratulation for your 10 years happy relationship. May both of you live happily like this forever
You had a wonderful 2021, and had a lot of big moments. Wishing you health and happiness in 2022.
Yes kids grow fast, they spread their wings, as parents it is difficult but we have to enjoy at the same sad also.
What a sweet post! You definitely had a great 2021. I hope this year 2022 also brings you loads of happy moments 😍
I would say a World Championship and a cruise to the Bahamas would make a fabulous years. Here’s to 2022 being even better (with a win for the StL Cardinals. 🤣🤣🤣)
You made 2021 one of your best year and 2022 will be too
I love the recap and appreciate you sharing your journey 😉 I especially love Charleston, SC… grew up there until I was a senior in high school and love visiting whenever I can 😉
