Hello, hello! It’s been really cold here in our neck of the woods with highs in the 40’s only. I know it’s not as cold here as compared to other parts of the country but it’s cold for us here in the South. We actually had a snow storm a week ago and got about 6 inches. I shared a photo on Instagram if you want to see. It was cold alright but I love snow because it is pretty and something I’d never experienced until coming to the U.S. from the Philippines. Ironically, my first ever snow was the White Christmas that happened just one month after my arrival.

Anyway, I have always enjoyed creating my monthly Currently post wherein I share what I’m currently watching, enjoying, etc. So here’s my first Currently post for the year.

Listening To…

The Good Ones by Gabby Barrett. Such a good song and a good one to listen to. It’s one of the few country songs that is a hit on TikTok, too.

Watching…

Emily in Paris Season 2 on Netflix. I have been waiting for this season and I finished watching it in just a few days ago. Just like the first season, I enjoyed this one as well and I am so looking forward to the third season.

Eating…

Puto Cheese or Filipino Steamed Cake. This is one of our favorite snacks back in my hometown. My son had been asking me for this, but it took me a while to find the right molds until my sister-in-law in Canada told me the ones that she found on Amazon. I’m going to share more about these delicious goodies on my Foodie Friday post.

Loving…

Seaweed snack. I first came across this on TikTok. You mix steamed rice with salmon then season with soy sauce and mayonnaise and place it onto one of these. It’s really good and even my son who can be picky loves it.

Enjoying…

Churros. My son ordered this one night and it was really good. I didn’t know a restaurant here served this dessert. Had I known, I would have ordered some a long time ago.

Looking Forward To…

The month of February. It’s the most celebrated month here in our household and we’re all looking forward to celebrating our special events.
