Hello, February! It’s finally the love month. January felt like it was taking forever to finish. Did you feel the same way? We had two snow storms last month, although the second one only got us an inch of snow. The first one did get us about 6 inches. I love snow. It’s just so pretty to look at. I think the only scary thing about having a snow storm is losing power. Thankfully, we didn’t experience that.
Ironically, having spent the first half of my life in a tropical country, the Philippines, snow was a total stranger to me; and even cold weather caught me unprepared. I so remember walking out of the airport on my arrival to my new hometown on a November evening, to be greeted by mid-40s temperature. To you, that might not be a big deal, but to me, coming from a place of eternal summer, it was my first introduction to the idea of walking into a freezer. Hubby has constantly teased me about my “BRRRR!” reaction when we walked out the airport door. But I’ve come to love the changing of the seasons, an unknown tropical event, and even more perfect, my very first Christmas here in the U.S. was a white one.
Anyhoo, a month just ended which means it’s time for another recap. So here’s the recap for January. Take a look on what you might have missed.
I Love Food
I shared three delicious recipes last month…a pasta recipe for dinner, a spam recipe for breakfast and a Filipino treat to enjoy for snack. You can click the link under each photo to read more about each recipe.
Family & Fun
I usually share a look-back post for the year that was. But for this year, I decided to write about the highlights of 2021 because last year was just filled with eventful and wonderful events.
And like I always do, I shared a list of goals for the year. I also shared what I’m currently loving, enjoying, watching, etc. in my monthly Currently post. Read more about these stories in the links below if you haven’t already.
There you have it…the summary of the entire month of January.
How about you? How was January for you?

Awee I live in South Texas and do not like the snow. I always say I will take a beach over snow anytime. We had a bad snow and power outage last year and it was awful!
