I was looking forward to celebrating the hubs’ birthday, like I mentioned on my Currently post Monday. I also said that we didn’t know yet where we were going for dinner because the birthday celebrant was still debating. He was choosing between three restaurants – two seafood restaurants and one Italian. And he finally decided on our favorite seafood restaurant here in the city, The Lobster Trap.

The Lobster Trap

We’ve been to this restaurant many times in the past – to celebrate my birthday and this is also our go-to restaurant when Hubby’s good friend, Lewis, is in town. He loves seafood as much as we do and this is where he always treats us to dinner. Our son didn’t go with us because he had a tournament; he is a pro gamer.

Lemonade & Whiskey

They didn’t have orange juice so I went with lemonade. The hubs ordered a shot of Irish whiskey. See it at the back?

Baked Oysters

The hubs has been craving for this big time. It had eight gulf oysters that were baked with Swiss chard and topped with remoulade and crispy smoked bacon. So flavorful! I actually shared a video of those oysters on Tiktok.

Grilled Maine Lobster

Then we both ordered each of this entrée. This grilled lobster is what I always order when we are there. I’ll never get enough of this. It was just so delicious. And it was served with corn and potatoes. I didn’t get to touch the corn and only ate some of the potatoes because my tummy couldn’t handle it anymore. LOL.

The Celebrant

Here he is! My cousin said he looks younger. Do you agree that he is aging like a fine wine? 🙂

It certainly was a wonderful birthday for the hubs filled with surprises and sumptuous food.
