It was on the 4th of July weekend when Hubby decided to take us to Cherokee, North Carolina. It has been a long time since he last saw the place and that is because, he was there when he was only a little boy like forty or fifty years ago, perhaps. He can’t even remember.
It is a small place, but it is what he considers a tourist trap. And it is indeed because there were a lot of tourists checking the many stores selling souvenir items made by American Indians. The place is an American Indian Reservation, by the way.
Among the many things that is new to the place that was not there when Hubby first visited is the casino which I believe made the place more frequented by tourists.
That’s only part of the entire building. It was huge and I wasn’t able to capture everything because we were still on mobile this time.
This was on the other side of the resort. We parked on the other side.
We parked at level 7. We thought we couldn’t actually get us a parking spot because it was packed.
And the exciting part was (if you call it exciting), we were not able to go inside the casino. With that little boy in tow. I guess you already know why.
We didn’t have plans of playing at all. I just wanted to see the inside because I’ve never been inside a casino before. Unfortunately, 18 years old and under are not allowed inside. Oh well, better luck next time. (“,)
