Top Gun is my favorite movie of all time. I still remember the bedroom that I shared with my older sister that was filled with Tom Cruise and Top Gun posters back in the 80s. And although there was no room for more posters, I still remember checking the bookstore and buying more. Tom Cruise was my ultimate crush back then. Well, I guess he was everybody’s crush. LOL.
And with the coming out of the sequel, Top Gun: Maverick, I think it’s just understandable that I’m going to have a special edition in my monthly Currently post here on the blog.

Top Gun definitely has one of the best movie soundtracks ever. The soundtrack topped the charts for weeks when it was released.

Top Gun for the nth time. I’ve watched it a gazillion times, I’m still going to watch it over and over again and will never get tired of doing so. It will never get old for me, that’s for sure.

All the Top Gun videos I’m seeing on TikTok. I even created one using the song “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins. You can watch the video HERE. It was taken at Patriots Point last year and we were able to see the aircraft that they used in the film.

Watching Top Gun: Maverick in the theater soon! Life’s been a little hectic so we haven’t gotten to it yet but at least the line at the theaters won’t be a mile long now, I guess.

My husband loves the Top Gun movies. He went to see the sequel and loved it. I could never get into the movies and he’s appalled.

I loved the original Top Gun movie and can’t wait to see this one. I’m just waiting for it to appear in Redbox so that I can rent it and watch it at home. I’m immunocompromised and even though covid threats are way down, I’d rather stay out of crowded places.
