Christmas is my favorite time of the year. And one thing that I indulge in aside from eating is watching Christmas movies. Not unless the husband is here during the daytime hours (he’s truly a Scrooge!), our TV is either on Hallmark Channel or Hallmark Channel Movies & Mysteries because of all the Christmas movies they have. I always look forward to watching the movie premieres but I also watch the ones that I’ve already seen before.
But other than those Hallmark Christmas movies, I do have a few that I have seen many times and would enjoy watching again. These movies just never get old. The hubs shared his favorite Christmas movies before, and here are mine.
1) Home Alone
This movie is just one of the funniest there is. Not to mention, Macaulay Culkin was just the cutest kid. Got to love Joe Pesci in this movie, too. And his name in the movie is Harry, as in the hubs name… Ha!
2) Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
We went to New York City around Christmastime a few years ago and whenever I watch this movie, it makes me nostalgic. New York City at Christmastime is just magical. I hope we get to go back and enjoy the city again.
3) Elf
This movie is hilarious. Will Ferrell is too funny and he did such a great job as Buddy the Elf.
4) The Christmas Chronicles
I remember watching this with the hubs when it first came out and the hubs uttered that this movie made him feel the spirit of Christmas. This is such a wonderful film. I never thought Kurt Russell would make such a good Santa but he sure did.
5) The Christmas Chronicles 2
Just as much as we enjoyed the first one, we enjoyed this one too. And Goldie Hawn as Mrs. Santa was such a fun addition. She made such a good Mrs. Santa.
How about you? What are your favorite Christmas movies?
