Yesterday’s celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year gave me the idea for this post. We are not Chinese nor there is any hint of Chinese in our blood, but celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year is big in my home country, the Philippines. There are many Chinese nationals who chose to live in our country and have built communities, and through the years, a lot of Filipinos have been greatly influenced by the Chinese culture and traditions.
That said, I thought I’d share Chinese food today. I love Chinese food. Both my husband and son love Chinese food as well. I think it is my most favorite food next to Filipino food.
There is a Chinese restaurant close to where we live that has become my favorite. And I go whenever the cravings hit me. If only I could indulge in Chinese food everyday, I would. Like three times a day actually. 🙂
My favorite of all is the shrimp fried rice. I will never get tired of having this over and over and over again. And the little one feels likewise. It is just so delicious.
Dipped in that sauce, this is delicious as well. So meaty and tasty.
Broccoli is one of my favorite vegetables. I tried to recreate this here at home but had no luck. They probably have some kind of a secret spice.
My husband’s favorite of all. I don’t like spicy foods so this is a no-no for me. But I do love looking at the husband eating heartily whenever he has this.
Do you like Chinese food too?
Kung Hei Fat Choi! (Cantonese for “Congratulations and Be Prosperous” in the incoming year.)

I do like Chinese food but tend to stick to Lo Mein. There is a Chinese restaurant we go to where I always order their pepper steak–oh it is delicious!!
It’s been a while since I had a chinese food, been avoiding the oily foods hehehe
