And my story continues. But if you’re new here, here’s the tale…
My husband’s best friend Lewis took us on a road trip to parts of North Carolina and Tennessee in June, and he took us hiking to the summit of Max Patch. But we fueled ourselves first before going on that hike. I previously shared about what we had for lunch that day and today, I’m going to share about the restaurant and what Lewis got me.
The Facade
I previously mentioned about how the facade of the restaurant wowed me as soon as we parked. It felt like we just arrived home to enjoy a good home-cooked meal. It has that homey feel to it.
As I mentioned in my previous post, the name of the restaurant is Trust General Store & Cafe.
This was the front, and with the greeneries surrounding it, it sure felt like you’re in the middle of nowhere. We’d never been in this part of the state before.
View from the Inside
This was the view from where we were seated. It was on a Thursday so there were not many people there although there were motorcycle riders who were just about to leave when we arrived.
The Porch
I just loved their huge porch. I could sit there all day and just enjoy the passersby and the calmness of the area. You see that bear? He’s cute! 🙂
Love all the rocking chairs! I was standing right in front of the cafe entrance when I took this photo, and that part where the signage is is the general store.
Love all the hanging ferns as well!
I was busy taking all these pictures at the porch when Lewis told me he’s going to get me a trinket. And I have to choose whichever one I want. That was so sweet of him.
The General Store
They have a lot of great and adorable stuff for sale at their general store.
There’s Lewis and the hubs. I always take candid photos of them. I hope they don’t kill me. Haha!
The Trinket
And here’s the beautiful trinket that Lewis got me. I love accessories and this bracelet is such a wonderful addition to my collection. He said it was my Christmas present. Yep, I got a Christmas present as early as June. Yay!
It was such a fun and exciting day spent with Lewis. We couldn’t thank him enough for taking us and showing us to places we’d never been to before. Until our next trip!
