Before I saw the video for these Mongolian beef noodles on TikTok, it had been a while since I’ve had Mongolian beef. I think it had been years. And it didn’t have noodles. We just paired Mongolian beef with steamed rice. So I knew, I had to try this one.
The recipe called for a different kind of noodles, though. But since I had egg noodles left from the Swiss steak that I prepared few days prior, I decided to use the leftover egg noodles instead.
The content creator made this as a meal prep. I didn’t. We had it for dinner that one night. But it would be a great meal prep idea for you if you are into meal prepping. I am not.
This dish doesn’t need that many ingredients which is always a great recipe to follow for me. With the price of groceries now, the less ingredients needed, the better! Besides, a delicious dish doesn’t have to have many ingredients, anyway.
We love beef over here and a beef dish is almost always on the menu every week. This is the first time that I’ve prepared Mongolian beef noodles because I had the Mongolian beef at a restaurant before. I don’t exactly remember where but it was in somewhere in my hometown. Yes, it had been that long that’s why I can’t remember. 🙂
You can actually skip the noodles if you like. I may try that next time and just pair it with steamed Jasmine rice like I did years ago. It would be good, too, for sure.
How about you? Have you tried having Mongolian beef noodles before?
If you like beef dishes and you haven’t tried preparing this yet, you should give this one a try. It is really good!
Here’s the link to the video if you want to check it out and give it a try yourself.
Happy Foodie Friday, friends!
