It’s the day after Christmas and we are just chillin’ over here. It is raining, too which is very conducive for relaxing and just getting cozy in the comfort of our own home. How about you? I hope you had a wonderful Christmas filled with good food, delightful surprises and quality time with your loved ones. Here’s how ours went.
Watching…
Here’s the hubs first Christmas gift for me, a rent for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour on Prime Video. I actually wanted to watch it in theater when it came out, but we didn’t get the time. I watched it twice and really enjoyed it.
That aside from watching all the Christmas movies on Hallmark Channel, too. Have you seen “A Biltmore Christmas?” As you know, the Biltmore House is located here in our city and they shot a Christmas movie there last year and it was finally shown the weekend after Thanksgiving. It was a good one.
Listening…
Alexa has been my good friend this entire holiday season. I always ask her to play Christmas music to me every morning while I am busy doing all my online tasks and she always gladly oblige. 🙂
Loving…
I am loving all the surprises that we all got. From the Christmas cards, to the gifts and to all the delicious goodies.
Just one of the many Christmas cards that we were given. I love this one.
This chocolate-covered macadamia nuts were a gift to the hubs at work. So good! He also got cookies, caramels, and chocolates. Not to mention, some gifts cards and cash. He sure has a lot of thoughtful people where he’s working.
Enjoying…
Still enjoying our Christmas decor. I usually take them down on the second of January. I enjoy them while they last.
Eating…
We always celebrate Christmas Eve with my brother-in-law and his family. And as always my sister-in-law prepared a feast.
Look at all those desserts that my sister-in-law baked. The cake is an Italian cream cake and it was so good. I finally got room in my tummy to enjoy a slice.
On Christmas Eve, I also prepared a slow-cooked ham which was so easy to make with only four ingredients, and yet so good. You just have to place the ham in the slow cooker, cover it with brown sugar, pour with honey and pineapple juice and then cook in slow for four hours. That’s it! Here’s the link to the video that I followed on Tiktok.
For Christmas morning, I cooked this French Toast Casserole that I prepared the night before. I’ll be sharing more about this on my Foodie Friday post.
Looking Forward To…
2024! 2023 has been full of different kinds of emotions. From happiness, excitement, anxiousness and also sadness. I think I’ll just have to say…all of the above. So, I am so looking forward to what the new year brings. So, bring it on!
How about you? Any “Currently” you want to share?

I need to watch the Taylor Swift Era tour. I saw the last tour she did before Eras and it was so good. I didn’t cook for Christmas Eve. I picked up pizza and wings this year. I did bake cookies though.
