Just like what we did last year, we just stayed home on Mother’s Day and ordered a takeout from, no less than, one of our favorite seafood restaurants, Red Lobster, which actually was the same restaurant where we ordered food for Mother’s Day last year. Red Lobster should make us their ambassadors. LOL.
The hubs actually wanted to go to a restaurant, but I decided otherwise. I knew already that restaurants will be packed so I was totally okay with enjoying my meal in the comfort of our dining room.
I made an online order in the morning and set it to be delivered to us around late afternoon. And they were delivered five minutes early. Awesome!
These were the goodies that we filled our tummies with.
House Side Salad
The hubs wanted a salad and he got their house side salad. It was composed of mixed greens with fresh tomatoes, a blend of cheeses, red onion, toasted croutons, and with his favorite dressing, thousand island. I prefer Italian.
Crispy Brussels Sprouts
I chose their crispy brussels sprouts as side. It was drizzled with soy-ginger sauce and topped with crispy onions. So good!
Lobster Lover’s Dream
And we got one of their signature feasts to share. It had roasted Caribbean rock and Maine lobster tails in it with lobster-and-shrimp linguini. I had the Maine lobster and the hubs got the Caribbean rock. And we both shared the linguini which was so creamy.
I also received and enjoyed great surprises from my husband and my son earlier in the day. I will share more about those sweet things on Monday.
It was such a sumptuous Mother’s Day dinner for me and I couldn’t thank my husband enough for feeding me good food, as always. He knows how much I love good food.
How about you? What did you eat on Mother’s Day?
Happy Foodie Friday, friends!

The crispy Brussels sprouts look delicious! I would order those too! We ordered Chinese food for Mother’s Day, just like we did last year lol.

I’ve always enjoyed Red Lobster. We ate there regularly when we lived in Florida. Shrimp and Grits…so good! And the Endless Chowder, Salad, & Biscuits. That can’t be beat.
Now it’s just too far away to visit, and it’s in a crazy busy area where the traffic is terrible. I’d love if they built one closer.
Glad to hear that you had a lovely Mother’s Day!

I like fruit and vegetable salads. I wouldn’t say I like seafood salads. Crispy Brussels Sprouts look delicious.

I used to love Red Lobster, but now I make mine own lobster and salads. That bowl of crispy brussels sprouts looks delicious.
