With the opening on July 26th and the closing on August 11th, the 2024 Paris Olympics are finally over. I really enjoyed watching my favorite games. I always look forward to watching the Summer Games and this year’s Olympics did not disappoint.

Watching…
Opening Ceremony: Having the parade of athletes held on the Seine with boats for each delegation was magnificent. It was the first time that an Olympic Opening Ceremony was done outside of a stadium and, I must say, it was totally unique and amazing. And I was really surprised to see my home country, the Philippines, with 22 delegates. We would usually only have a few so I was really happy and excited to see we had 22.
Closing Ceremony: How epic is that stunt that Tom Cruise performed? That was really an awesome surprise. Great to see Dr. Dre as well. Always liked that song of his with Snoop Dogg.
Loving…
For the first time ever, the Philippines won a gold medal for the men gymnastics. And not only one gold, but two! He is the first man who has won us gold. His name is Carlos Yulo and he won gold medals for vault and floor exercise.
And the U.S.A. got the most gold medals, tied with China, but got the most medals overall…as always.
Congratulations to all the winners!
Listening…
Hearing the Philippine National Anthem, Lupang Hinirang, being played at the Olympics gave me goosebumps. It seldom happens so it really got to me.
Enjoying…
My favorite games to watch at the Olympics are swimming, gymnastics and beach volleyball. But I also watched the Finals of the men’s basketball on Saturday and what a game it was. You got to love Steph Curry!
Looking Forward To…
September! Can’t believe the “ber” months are right around the corner. September is my birth month and we have a trip coming soon so I am really excited.

I must have been one of the very few who didn’t watch any of the olympics, other than what I saw on social media. But I can’t believe it’s already over so quickly x
