It was one of those days where I didn’t have time to cook because of an important thing to be done. So, the hubs and I decided to grab a bite at the nearby deli. The name of the place is Montford Deli. They used to be located at a neighborhood here in the city, but moved close to where we live just a few months ago. We never got to try them so we decided to sample what they have to offer.

I just had a glass of water and the hubs had a glass of his favorite soda.

Hamburger & French Fries

The hubs’ choice. As expected, he ordered a burger with mustard, chili and onions, what he considers the all-American way to eat a burger. As for him, a burger is not complete without a side of French fries so he ordered them, too. I had some of the fries and they were good. So crispy and fresh out of the deep fryer.

Veggie Melt on Rye

They offer a lot of different kinds of sandwiches but this was the one that stood out to me. I’ve never had a veggie sandwich before. I didn’t even know it existed. It had a broccoli slaw base, peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic and Swiss cheese. I really enjoyed this one. So delish! I only ate half of it, though, because it already filled my tummy. Brought home the other half and had it for lunch the next day. Yum!

This deli was a restaurant before that offered gyros. It was also a good restaurant, but unfortunately, they had to close.

We really enjoyed the food and now we know where to grab a bite in case we are going to crave for some deli sandwiches again.
