Can you believe it’s February already? It seems like only yesterday when I wrote about our 2014 year in review. And you know what, pigging out over the holidays and how we rang in the New Year are still very vivid to me. And now I am off to recapping what transpired last month. But on the contrary, I am so looking forward to this month. Not just because it is the love month, but also because this is the most celebrated month in this household. But more on that later.
Let’s talk about January first.
As always, Hubby looked back and shared with you the trips that we had to Fort McHenry in Baltimore, Maryland to the Toccoa Falls in Georgia, and even the experience of being on top of Currahee Mountain. Those were all great experiences and we will always remember them and consider them special in our memory book.
We also made a little trip to a beautiful graveyard where known individuals were buried. Being the lover of history that Hubby is, he realized that when looking for history, one should first look in their own backyard. Smart thinking, huh?
And while the husband was into history and trips, I was into the food department.
I’ve been wanting to prepare rice pilaf and was glad to finally be able to prepare it and with my favorite mushrooms at that. Glad to share what I prepared. And the peanut butter brownies that hubby baked were so delicious. I want more!
I did give you an idea that we are celebrating our anniversary soon with my gifts for her wish list. I do wonder if the husband already started shopping for those? (“,)
Speaking of lists, don’t we all just love making lists? I talked about the things that I’m loving lately as well a bunch of television series that we love watching.
January sure flew by so fast. How was your January?
Masshole Mommy says
January flew by for me, too. I am not even sure why, but it was gone before I knew it. Glad you had a good month!
Thank you. (“,)
I blinked, and January was gone. I can’t believe how fast if flew by!
I know. Gone in a heartbeat. (“,)
January only lasted a week, I’m sure of it! How is 1/12 of the year gone already?!
I know, right? Time surely flies when we’re having fun. (“,)
Wow, you had a very nice month. We were busy recovering form holidays and celebrating like 10 family birthdays that we have in January, including my hubby and daughter!
Wow! 10 family birthdays! Sounds like you definitely had a super busy January. (“,)
January literally FLEW by!! This whole year has…I can’t believe we are only 4 months away from summer!
Me too! Can’t wait for summer! (“,)
You have had a wonderful January, that’s for sure! I can’t believe the first month of 2015 is already gone.
Thank you, Nina! It was indeed a wonderful January. (“,)
Your January sounds great! Mine was pretty good. Nothing really monumental happened which I guess is good. I just am anxious for the cold weather to leave! Hope you have a great February!
I’m anxious about it too. So looking forward to warmer temps! (“,)
That was a great January! i am ready for the hotter weather.. i am ok with the accelerated times.. lol
I am ready for the warm temps as well. (“,)
What an amazing month of traveling that was. That waterfall was such a beautiful and scenic location.
I know, right? That waterfalls is really beautiful. Hope we get to visit the place again one of these days.
I agree, January went by too fast! Ah, this year’s going to be a blast!
You bet! That’s the attitude. (“,)
Wow, you bought a MAC. What shade is it and which finish? MAC lipsticks in stores here are way more expensive than those posted on their official website.
Actually, the MAC lipstick was a gift from the hubs on Christmas. It’s red but I forgot the exact shade and finish. I have no idea how much it is there. The price is pretty reasonable here. (“,)
Seems like you had a lovely month, I love your travel pictures. Cannot believe we in Feb already!
Thank you, Shaney. (“,)
That waterfall takes my breath away, it is so beautiful!
It certainly is! (“,)
You h ad such a great January! And Jan. surely did fly by all too fast this year.
Time surely flies when we’re having fun, huh? (“,)
I can not believe we are in February already. That waterfall looks so beautiful.
I can’t believe either. Yup, it is beautiful! (“,)
I cant believe it is Feb. already! Loved your January photos!
Thank you, Lisa! (“,)
January flew by for me as well. I started a brand new blog and that was so time-consuming that I can’t believe it’s already February. Looking ahead though, I think February is going to pass just as quickly. I leave for Jamaica in two days and then have a 12-day trip to Fiji that starts in three weeks.
Good for you. That sounds fun. Hope you have a great time. (“,)
I can not believe that January is over already. I want to try the rice pilaf. I have a lot of rice I want to use up.
You should. And I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did. (“,)
It looks like you had a wonderful time! January passed so quickly, too quickly for me!
It flew by so quick. (“,)
I can’t believe it is February already. January flew by quicker than the holidays did. I have been so busy trying to get a book published and just writing every minute of January that I haven’t had time to slow down.
Good to know about your book. Best of luck on that one! (“,0
January flew by–for me it is the beginning of my clients crying for visits from me–from getting their payroll taxes done to getting them ready for their accountants! I have had to re schedule due to snow so many times I have no idea if I am coming or going-And here it is February and I still am trying to fit them in between the snow!!
Sounds like you are such one busy bee. (“,) Good for you, Miki!
Wow, that is a beautiful Falls! The food looks yummy too.
You bet! (“,)
looks like a great month!
It was. Thanks! (“,)
I love the idea of recapping each month instead of waiting until the end of the year. Makes you appreciate each month even more and I know for me, I’d remember more of what we did. Looks like you guys had a fabulous January!
I know, right? And I’ll be doing this the whole year through. Just love it! (“,)
Your collage and photos were a perfect reminder of just how fast January did go – it’s almost difficult to remember it’s February – except my son’s birthday was this weekend – so that helps! Ha
Haha. Too funny! Happy Birthday to your son. Hope he’ll have a blast! (“,)
Wow, January flew by. I’m still getting used to writing 2015! Your peanut butter brownie pic has me salivating, by the way!
Thank you, Sarah! (“,)
Wow how beautiful that waterfall is. I wish I could have seen that myself and yes I can’t believe it is already Febuary
Looks like you had such a busy January. Mine was busy too! Wishing you a great february!
