I already lost count of how many of this series have I’ve read in the past. There have been many and I guess it’s obvious why. This is certainly one of my all time-favorite books to read . But believe it or not, I’ve never bought one of these books. Some of them were loaned to me before and a few, including this one here, were gifts. Take a guess who gifted me this? My husband, no less.
He gave me this book on our first Christmas together here in the U.S. which was in 2010. In a couple of days, I will have had this book for five Christmases. I can’t remember the many times that I’ve reread this book. I haven’t read it lately but when there are times that I feel like reading and I can’t decide among hubby’s books which one to read, this is the book that I grab.
I think it is no wonder to all of you what this book is about. The little stories that are in each book are very inspiring. This one which is a collection of little Christmas stories just gives more warmth and Christmas spirit into the air when I read it. I love everything in this book. It certainly is a fun book to read. I love the quotes that are included in the beginning of each story too – some I’ve already came across before and some that are relatively new to me. Nonetheless, they are all inspiring and heartwarming.
With the hustle and bustle that the season brings, it always feels good to slow down and soak up the spirit that the season brings. Curling up with a book in the corner of the living room while the lights from the Christmas tree are illuminating nearby is wonderful relaxation especially when the book is about Christmas magic.
And I can’t help but think about the Christmas magic I experienced my very first Christmas here in the U.S. We awoke that morning to three feet of snow, a White Christmas! Imagine that happening to someone who had never seen snow in their life. I come from the Philippines where it’s summer all year round and my heart and mind were filled with wonder and joy at the sight of white all around. What a memorable, never-to-be-forgotten moment.
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you too have some moments to remember this holiday season.

Aww, this is such a heartwarming post – it’s very timely especially that you’re reading Chicken Soup for the Soul. I love their stories. I remember when their first book was released in the market, it was such a huge hit. They have inspired so many and it’s nice to know that they’ve come up with more editions. I wish you and your family a happy Christmas and a prosperous year ahead.
Thank you, Russ. Wishing you and your family the same. (“,)

These books are wonderful and it makes perfect sense to have a Christmas edition. We could all use a little calm and introspective thought during this season.
