Happy Monday!
Last week had been a roller coaster around here which explained the lack of posts. I tried to update the blog, but my mind was just not into it. And although everything is not back to normal yet, we are headed that way…we can already see the light at end of the tunnel. Thankful and grateful for that! I’ll probably share with you the story later on. Maybe. We’ll see. But for now, let me look back on what had been a great month for this blog. So here’s my January recap!
FAMILY
My husband and son are Star Wars fans! I’m not a huge fan of the movie, but I was more than willing to join them in watching the film on New Year’s Day and guess what? I totally enjoyed it. The movie was awesome! Hubby wrote about it on, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” – A Continuing Legacy of Sci-Fi Movies.
We are headed to Charlotte, North Carolina next month for the LEGO KidsFest event. I am so excited about the event because I know that my son will totally have a blast there. I do hope and pray though that everything will fall into place with regards to this one because with what happened last week, we do have some things to consider. I am keeping my fingers crossed!
FOOD
One of the many cuisines that our family enjoys is Italian food. So I thought of putting a twist to chicken kabobs by marinating it using an Italian dressing. Check the recipe of my easy to make and delicious Italian Chicken Kabobs.
It’s almost the Super Bowl and how awesome it is that the pride of North Carolina made it to the Super Bowl! Woot! Go Panthers! Are you ready for your game day munchies? Check my Chili-Cheese Nachos recipe if you are still thinking of what to add to your game day party.
We are trying our best to eat healthier this year so I didn’t have second thoughts of trying out the Progresso Light Soup when it was offered to me. We love soup and when life gets hectic, it’s one of those easy to grab and are ready in minutes.
It’s the first day of the Heart month. Are you going to prepare anything sweet for your better half or loved ones on Valentine’s Day? These 5 Heart-Shaped Desserts are just the cutest! Not to mention, they look delicious too!
TRAVEL
I didn’t know the story of the old Asheville Railroad Roundhouse until the husband told the story about it on, The Old Asheville Railroad Roundhouse Won’t be ‘Round Much Longer. Sad to know the story, but it was definitely an interesting trip to see the place a couple of weeks ago.
I don’t consider myself very creative and that’s why people’s creativity never fails to blow my mind away. The Yarn Bombing in downtown Asheville was really awesome! Wish you could see it for yourself too.
And that’s about it!
How as your January? I hope it was great!
