Happy Monday and I hope you all had a great weekend!
I’ve been so looking forward to this day. It may be dreary and soggy outside because of the rain, but the feeling of excitement and joy abounds inside our humble abode. I think that’s a bit cheesy for you, but please just let me be and that’s because today, we are celebrating my husband’s birthday!
Maybe for some, celebrating a birthday is just another day. Actually, my husband used to think of it that way, but after the event that happened almost a month ago today, today is not just another day or one of those birthdays. The story of that event will be here on the blog soon. As much as I want to tell the tale, I will let the husband do all the story-telling of that fateful day, what he remembers of it. Do watch out for that story in the next few days.
He is one lucky and blessed man! Not only because he married me (Tee-hee), but because he gets to celebrate another birthday. For me, celebrating another year of life is a blessing and something to be thankful and grateful for because we do know that not all are blessed to celebrate another year in their life. I lost my first husband at such a young age, so for me, a birthday is a special day to be celebrated. The celebration doesn’t have to be fancy. Having a grateful heart that you get to continue to enjoy and see the beauty of life is more than enough.
So to this loving and sweet man who is my rock and who never fails to make me feel special…a Happy, Happy Birthday! Wishing you many, many more birthdays to come and all the best life has to offer. ♥
