Happy Friday! Or Happy Fri-DATE?! 🙂
The hubs and I had an impromptu date last week and it was a very seldom kind of date that we did because it was a breakfast date. Don’t you just love impromptu dates? He had an appointment that early morning and after his appointment, we decided to grab breakfast somewhere. We were near Biltmore Village, and after having tried Corner Kitchen for his birthday in February, we decided to try their breakfast menu. We enjoyed our sumptuous dinner there on his birthday so much that we couldn’t wait to try what they offered for breakfast too. I knew they would not disappoint and I was right!
As soon as we were seated, the waitress asked if we want coffee and we both said yes in a heartbeat. Of course! Our mornings are definitely not complete without our beloved coffee. And I love my coffee with cream.
This time around, we were seated at the other part of the restaurant and this was my view. The hubs back was on it. Beautiful right? The fire wasn’t lit, but it’s still pretty.
This was what I had. It is topped with two poached eggs, light horseradish sauce and served with toast.
Hubby’s choice with real biscuit and real sausage gravy, freshly made
We really enjoyed our breakfast at Corner Kitchen. And just thinking about the food that we had is making me hungry again. I can’t wait to go back!

Just reading this has made ME hungry! I live in Georgia, so I get into full-on nom nom mode when I see sausage and biscuits.

This sounds so fun and romantic. I think impromptu dates are always the best and for me and my husband, we usually have the most fun. This breakfast looks DELICIOUS and I wish I was eating those biscuits and gravy right now.
