Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. Our weekend was a exciting because aside from our son having a successful and a safe and sound field trip to Atlanta with his 7th grade classmates, the hubs and I got to spend some quality time together too. We checked out a restaurant that is new to us and I didn’t only enjoy the food, I also enjoyed its whimsical decor. But more about that lunch date later.
Today, let me share with you our day at the museum. And no, we didn’t go to Charlotte this weekend. We made this trip last year and since I made a series of that trip because there was just too many awesome photos to share and too much good things to say, I thought about making one post about the museum and sharing the links to each of those posts.
We passed by the aviation museum a couple of times before for an appointment in Charlotte and I told both the husband and son that we would visit it someday once we have the time, and we finally got the time last year, on Memorial Day Weekend to be precise. I’ve shared all about what we saw, what we learned and what we enjoyed at the museum.
1) Day at the Museum: Carolinas Aviation Museum (Part 1)
Part one talks about the planes that we saw outside of the museum. There were military as well well as commercial planes like that one in the photo.
2) Day at the Museum: Carolinas Aviation Museum (Part 2)
Part two talks about the US Airways Flight 1549: Miracle on the Hudson. Do you remember that fateful flight?
3) Day at the Museum: Carolinas Aviation Museum (Part 3)
Part three talks about all the military planes, big and small.
4) Day at the Museum: Carolinas Aviation Museum (Part 4)
Part four talks about the earliest planes that we had.
I was wide-eyed like a child seeing all those magnificent and amazing planes. We always love checking out and visiting museums not only for the fun, but also for the knowledge.
Have you been to an aviation museum?

I never went to the aviation museum when I lived in North Carolina. I have been to the air show that they had at the Marine base in Jacksonville, NC. This museum sounds like a great place to learn about the history of flight. It is amazing how far that we have come with flight technology.

My husband has the unique job of working in the Navy as a helicopter maintainer so our family is interested in all things aviation. This would be such a fun experience for us!
