Hello Monday! Where did the weekend go? It seemed to fly by so quick. While talking to the hubs yesterday, I actually lost track of what day it was and asked him. It surely didn’t feel like Sunday yesterday. Weird! Maybe because the hubs and I were out and about on Friday. We usually get busy running errands on Saturday, but lately, we’ve been doing some errands on Fridays. Then if we forgot something, we’ll have to catch up on Saturdays because Sundays are usually lazy over here.
It was such a beautiful day to end spring soccer.
On Friday, me and the hubs braced the chill and went to do some errands and a little snooping around town. We went to the mall first and look who we saw?!
It’s the American Idol winner and country singer, Scotty McCreery. He is a North Carolina boy and had a book signing event for his book, Go Big or Go Home at Barnes and Noble here in Asheville. I didn’t buy his book because there was a long line of fans patiently waiting for him to sign their books. I just squeezed myself in among other fans at the corner opposite where the line was, and took a snap shot of him. Isn’t he a cutie? (Peace Hubby!) 🙂
We stayed for a little while because having a bookworm for a husband, it’s already a given that we’ll stay in a bookstore for a while whether there’s a celebrity there or not. It’s one of his happy places, you know. Then we walked around the mall and got me something. ‘Twas a good exercise. Then off we went to continue our errands. We had to get moving so we could get back home before it’s time to pick up the little one at the bus stop. And we made it. Both the hubs and I have totally mastered time management. 😉
Then Saturday was spent on the soccer field. It was our last game of the season and although we didn’t win, it was still a good season for the team. We had a party afterwards and enjoyed all the goodies that each of the families contributed including pizza and cupcakes!
Sunday was lazy one as usual. It was another chilly day so more than anything, days like that are better spent at home watching TV in your pajamas. Am I not, right? 🙂

It looks like you had an awesome weekend! Scotty McCreery is my favorite! I love his music and I think he’s a cool person. I wish he had been at the mall I went went!
Sounds like a fun weekend! I love Scotty’s music! He has such a beautiful deep voice! We had a pretty lazy weekend ourselves just a birthday party and that’s it.
We had a graduation party at our church yesterday and a car wash for our youth. I wish I would have had a lazy weekend! I need to have one of those soon.
I’m right there with your hubs. I could spend an entire day in a bookstore if I didn’t have other things to get to. I’m a total bookworm over here!

Oh my god. I love, love, love Scotty McCreery! I rarely buy albums and I purchased his. lol
My weekends lately have been routine. I wish I could take some time off to refresh and rejuvenate. Maybe a late Mother’s day get-away would be best for me. Happy to hear you had a great weekend. BTW, Scotty does look different when he’s not up on stage performing. 🙂
This sounds like an awesome productive weekend to me. I have never been or see a book signing before but it would be interesting indeed to be there with someone I admire. Time management is still something I have been working on for sure. Thanks for sharing your weekend.

What a fun weekend you had. Mine was lazy and relaxing. I love to go to book signings and would have really enjoyed this one. I need to see if he’s coming around here anytime soon.

Fun filled weekend! Our weekend started out on a sunny Saturday and ended on a freezing Sunday! Very weird weather. We ended up staying home.

I love soccer! I used to play high competitive soccer, it’s such a great sport! that author was cute, my goodness! How HE DOIN? lol well I’m glad you had such a good time during the weekend, it’s always a sign that you are relaxed when you forget the day : )
