Hello October! Fall is finally in full blast over here. We are already having chilly days so our furnace has started running and I froze yesterday at my son’s soccer game although I was wearing a jacket. But I’m happy to finally be able to wear my jacket again. I was looking forward to it. 🙂 How’s the temp in your area?
I usually get carried away when it comes to talking about fall so let me just stop myself and talk about the things that we shared here on the blog last month – the month of September, my birth month. Let’s do it!
FAMILY
For the first time ever, I wrote a letter to my only son. And I was told that it was just the sweetest letter ever. I really had fun writing it and my son gave me that cutest smile after he read it. 🙂
My bookworm Hubby talked about he’s binging on books rather than TV and he also talked about a book called ‘Blind Man’s Bluff’. But those are not the only things that kept him busy last month. We got to check the newest miniature golf course in town too! Such a nice new place.
FOOD
As I mentioned, September is my birthday month and lucky for me, Hubby’s bestfriend was in town on my birthday and he gave me a birthday treat. He took us again to one of our favorite restaurants here in Asheville and it was a seafood feast y’all. Now I’m hungry just thinking about all the food.
I’m one of the millions of fans of the Fixer Upper duo, Chip and Joanna Gaines and I visit Joanna’s blog whenever she has a new post. She shared her Fresh Banana Bread recipe and I made it right away. Really yummy! I also shared my late MIL’s delicious meatball recipe. Trust me, guys! It’s really good!
TRAVEL
We just got home from an exciting and special road trip and I’m going to share it here soon. We didn’t go anywhere last month, but I did share about five reasons to visit our beautiful city of Asheville in the fall. I also shared fun things to do in fall for the whole family in one post.
Lastly, I’ve been blogging for years now and I”m still enjoying it immensely. If you wanted to start a blog too, here’s how to start a blog in three easy steps. Have fun!
How was your September?

My favorite post of the month was your husband’s Binging on Books. I’m a huge reader, and I have read entire series in three or four days.

My husband and I are also September babies (as are about five other family members) so I’m glad that things are finally settling down in October. My goal is to read more this month just like your hubby–wish me luck!

Sounds like you had a great month. I did as well for September. Not a whole lot when on, but I did buy a house in September, so that was big!

It sounds like you had a lovely September! It’s almost hard to believe that it’s fall and that September passed so quickly, but this is my favorite time of the year! I can’t stand hot weather.

I’m trying to get back to my habit of binging on books instead of TV. I think a lot of the reason our older kids are all good readers is because of that and I want our toddlers to be also.
