Hello December! The Holiday season is upon us and I couldn’t be more excited because this is definitely my favorite time of the year. The spirit of the season really makes me feel happier and giddier and all of the above. 🙂 Do you feel the same way too? I’ve already decked our house with Christmas decor (did that before Thanksgiving actually) and I think we’re done with gift shopping as well. There’s only 22 days left before Christmas, but I know time will fly and before we know it, it’s already Christmas!
Okay, enough about Christmas for now. Let’s talk about last month first. So here you go…our blog’s November recap!
FAMILY
November is one of the few months of the year that is so meaningful to us and that’s because it was in November six years ago when my son and I landed on U.S. soil. It was two days before Thanksgiving that year when we landed which was perfect and truly something to be thankful for. So other than Thanksgiving, our anniversary of being in the U.S. is also one thing that we look forward to celebrating in November. Hubby talked about that trip we had which was so heartwarming because I got to reminisce all the details of that trip again.
We certainly have a lot to be thankful for. That said, I shared my favorite Thanksgiving quotes with you all. And speaking of being thankful, I am also thankful for the many opportunities in November. My son not only didn’t get to have a secret weapon to protect him from soccer head injuries, he also got to play a new game with us which was so much fun. We definitely love our family game nights!
The baseball fanatic that he is, Hubby also talked about this years MLB World Series Champions, the Chicago Cubs. I watched the series with him and it was so much fun! Hubby’s also into watching old shows on TV and he talked about those on-screen blasts from the past here. The hubs and his shows! 🙂
FOOD
As usual, we went out for a dinner to celebrate our anniversary of touching down in the U.S. It was a special night with great food. November was also a busy one for the hubs and I. We were out and about a lot of days to shop for gifts. And with shopping comes hunger. LOL. While we were at the mall, we sampled this Asian restaurant and they did not disappoint.
I was also able to share what I did for Halloween for our son’s Halloween treats. No, not candies, but cupcakes. Many-eyed monster cupcakes to be precise. They were yummy and cute!
TRAVEL
Went to one of our favorite lakes to visit again, Lake Louise at a nearby town. I meant to go there when all the leaves had their beautiful autumn colors. But we were already a little late and some of the leaves were already gone. It was still pretty though.
How was your November? I hope it was great!

November flew by so quickly. I love this time of year. I was pregnant with my daughter 20 years ago and I was eager to meet her. Her due date was the 20th just a few days before Christmas. However, she had different plans because she came 5 days early. She is now off at college but thankfully she will be home in time for Christmas.
