Happy Monday! Hope your week is off to a great start despite losing an hour of sleep. Waking up today wasn’t a struggle for me at all because my eyes opened at 5 o’clock – even before the alarm went off. I guess I was excited for the day to start. 🙂
Last week was not too busy despite the start of spring soccer practice. And although the weather has kind of gotten crazy lately – spring-like one day and winter-like the next – it was still okay because I know spring is just a few days away. So looking forward to it! Who isn’t?
SPRING BLOOMS
I’m loving all the pretty blooms that I’ve been seeing. These pretty white ones can be seen down the road. I’ve seen pink blooms too at our local grocery store, but didn’t get the chance to take a pic. Maybe next time.
More spring blooms here. This was in the area where my son has his soccer practice. These trees adorn both sides of the road and are just so pretty.
FOGGY MORNING
Fog can be a dangerous hindrance when you’re on the road, but it can be a pretty sight as well. I took this on a bridge on our way to our son’s school one morning last week. Almost a little eerie too, huh? Like what you see in horror films.
WINTER STORM
My little front-yard welcoming angel
We woke up to a winter wonderland last Sunday, March 12. It wasn’t as bad as expected, but it was also on March 12, 1993 when they had what they call here the Blizzard of ’93, a storm which affected the entire east coast all the way from New England down to Florida, even affecting Cuba with winds of over 100 miles. The husband hoped it wouldn’t be a history-repeats-itself kind of thing, and thankfully, it was not, though our local forecast warned of bad possibilities. Having lived through that event, my husband has shared many stories of it, one of which included telling me of going almost three days without electricity and heat in temperatures way below freezing.
But the snow had melted by the end of the day; we had no more that an inch or two compared to the 6 feet my husband measured on the back deck in the Blizzard of ’93. I, being from the Philippines, find that hard to imagine, and thankfully, I didn’t get to experience it first hand.
How was the weather at your place over the weekend?
Stacie @ Divine Lifestyle says
I always feel so bad when weather gets weird like this for my friends in the midwest and northeast US. Down here in Georgia, even the latest bad weather is nothing, really.
Jeanette says
Where I live it was close to 90 and I LOVED it! I hear there is another blizzard due tomorrow in the east! I think I might go in a pool tomorrow just to help! 😉
Ann Bacciaglia says
I am so ready for Spring to get here. It has been colder here last week then it has been all winter. We are expecting a huge snow storm tomorrow.
Lisa Favre says
I am anxiously awaiting Spring – seriously, all this coldness needs to stop! Where I’m from, snow storms are passing through and we’re still wearing our winter coats.
My Teen Guide says
Our weather in my area is so hot, my friends are so exciting for the summer.
Karlyn Cruz says
It’s already Spring in my area but this last weekend, we had an foggy morning. I think I just too excited for the spring.
Dogvills says
It’s almost summer where I live. My brother lives in CT and I heard there is a blizzard coming tomorrow.

Ha ha yesss! A blizzard when its 7 more days to spring
Debra Schroeder says
Yep, it’s almost spring. But there’s a huge blizzard hitting the east coast right now. Crazy weather this year.

We had some really warm days a few weeks ago but today it’s a complete blizzard in NY! It’s crazy, we’ve gotten about 18″ of snow so far and it’s STILL coming down!
uprunforlife says
The weather has been a bit crazy here too. We keep going from warm spring-like temperatures to the low 40s. I am ready for consistent weather. I can’t believe that the east coast is getting so much snow.
Eloise says
I love the photos, they’re all so pretty (although the last photo was of snow and I’m ready for that stuff to go!) I can’t wait for spring, super excited it’s right around the corner…
Echo says
It is almost spring. However, when you live in Minnesota, it is never too late for snow or blizzards.
Dhemz says
Oh, my! Good thing we don’t have that kind of weather condition in Texas. I’m not really fond of cold weather…winter in general…lol! Awesome photos. Thanks for sharing!
jo says
Wow. I have never heard of the blizzard from ’93. Imagine a blizzard going down as far as Cuba? That’s the worst. Oh well, I am glad too that we didn’t get that much ’cause I don’t want to shovel. Got two kids inside the house wandering! 😛
Eileen says
Same thing here for me. I was wearing a t shirt in February and now it’s freezing again. lol
Wildish Jess says
We live in Arizona so we don’t get a winter thankfully.
Shaney Maharaj says
I know NYC is having terrible weather right now but I always wanted to see the snow there and I just missed it. The weather is changing a lot.

I am pleased to meet another Filipina blogger. We don’t have this in the Philippines. I am still wondering when can I experience winter, spring, and fall. I know that of all those three, winter might be the one which is most challenging for me. How many clothes do you wear when it is already winter?
Lynndee says
Hi there, Ana! Good to meet you. 🙂 Depends on how cold it is, but if it’s too cold outside, I wear four layers and that’s with a heavy coat too.
Chubskulit Rose says
My plants started to come alive and then it got hit by the freezing temp again so now they are all wilted, ugh..
Gabriel says
We have had a pretty mild winter this year, think it only went sub zero a few times, so spring fever set in early this year. I think I’m ready.
