The hubs and I don’t go out on dates often like perhaps some couples do, and I can’t remember the last time we went out on an actual date and all of a sudden there we were eating lunch somewhere. Both of those lunch dates were unplanned. But we did have one planned although it also wasn’t how it was planned in the beginning.
CHINA WOK
This Chinese restaurant is located close to where we live. We went somewhere that day and on our way home, hubby thought of us having lunch at this restaurant. We both love Chinese food and he knew I’m always delighted to eat there.
I had this beef with vegetables plus fried rice.
And the hubs had his most favorite Chinese food of all, General Tso’s Chicken with fried rice.

Another day last week brought us to this Japanese restaurant at the mall. Our plan was to only buy our son a gift for his birthday then out of the blue, we decided to eat and our feet took us to this restaurant at the Food Court. It was our first time to sample their food and they did not disappoint.

Can you tell how we love Asian food so much? Well, I’m Asian so there is no question why I love it. Just so glad that hubby loves it too!

Sunday came and it was supposed to be a family movie date to watch the new X-Men movie, Logan, but our teenager decided to stay home because he said one of his classmates had already spoiled the movie to him and he already knew the ending. It was a bummer that he didn’t go with us, but it was also a delight that the hubs and I got to go on a movie date once again because it has been a while since the two of us watched a movie together as a couple alone.
This movie house which is located at Biltmore Park Town Square is our favorite to go whenever we watch a movie. For me, it is simply the best movie house in Asheville.
Hubby had popcorn and I had this Chocolate Molten Lava Cake. Really good!

We try to have a date night at least once a month. Twice if we can swing it.
Now I am super hungry. All the dishes look so delicious. If I visit one time, now I know where I want to go out to eat.
Yum! We love exploring new restaurants during our date nights, although as the parents of three, time away does not happen often.

I love impromptu lunch dates with my husband. It is a bit easier to do that now. He works from home so we go out on occasion to grab lunch together. I love it.
