The first plan was to give my parents a dinner treat on that Friday night. The time was already set; then my sister called. She was supposed to go on a business trip to Cebu City, but it was cancelled so she begged us if she could come along. At first I thought she was bluffing that her trip was cancelled because we were kidding earlier that she should tell her boss she won’t go because she wanted to eat crabs. Looked like her prayers were answered. LOL. So we waited for her until after office hours and off we went to this popular crab restaurant in GenSan.
This restaurant wasn’t there yet when I left my hometown six years ago, so when I saw it, I told the hubs that we need to sample their food. And so we did!
This garlic crab was delicious and those crabs were huge! The usual crabs that we get from the supermarket are smaller.

I didn’t notice until I saw the photo that the hubs wasn’t wearing his apron yet when this photo was taken. He did wear it too. You’ve got to if you want to have clean clothes after having the crabs. 🙂 Our son was out with his cousins so he wasn’t with us just in case you’re wondering.
The appetizer! All of these dishes have crabs in them. And they were all superb. Too bad, their menu is not on their website and I totally forgot what these dishes were called. 🙁
This has bamboo shoots as a base.
And of course, there’s got to be rice. We went with fried rice instead of the usual steamed rice.
I ordered an avocado shake while my sister and mom ordered strawberry shakes. The hubs and dad just ordered water.
This restaurant is a must visit in General Santos City, Philippines, if you are a seafood lover like us. They’re a bit pricey compared to other seafood restaurants there, but the food is definitely worth every penny.
Do you love seafood?
Happy Food Trip Friday and enjoy your weekend!

The food looks so good! I love finding places like this in our area that are less mainstream than some of those other seafood places. Thanks for sharing this one.

I LOVE IT. I wish I had a place like that here. I mean, we have places which sell crab legs, but no like that. At least I have never seen anything beyond your basic boiled crab.

Yum, it has been so long since I have had fresh crab let alone seafood. It is one thing that I miss about living an hour from the beach. You could always find fishermen selling fresh shrimp by the pound.
