We all bumped into each other when we went to a Medical Transcription school for training in 2005. That’s basically how the friendship started, but we got more closer when we all worked for the same medical transcription company a few months after the training. We hung out when one celebrated a birthday and whenever we got the time. But we haven’t communicated daily or regularly since I left for the United States because we’re all busy with our lives, but the friendship is still there.
So on our recent summer vacation to my hometown, I made sure to meet and hang out with them. I didn’t tell them that I was coming home because I was planning to surprise them, but they figured it out and set the date.
We went to a Chinese restaurant located in one of the newest hotels in GenSan. The hotel was not there when I left so it was nice to check it out with the girls…or gurls as we say it. This is tea, by the way.

Fried rice…
Pork…
You can pair this with the pork.
Veggies…
Chicken…
I already forgot the exact names of all those dishes, but they were all delicious. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant too.
We explored the hotel after we had our dinner and checked out this other restaurant too. This was a western restaurant, but we didn’t eat there. There was no way that we could add more food in our tummies after that dinner at the Chinese restaurant.
We planned to go out again after that night and it was going to be their treat, but everyone got so busy so it didn’t materialize. That said, these girls owe me a treat. Don’t you dare forget, gurls, because I will always remember and I’ll be back. 😉
How often do you hang out with your friends?
Enjoy your weekend!

I LOVE Love LOVE going out with the girls for dinner… It doesn’t happen as often as I would like, but when it does I truly enjoy it and don’t take it for granted.

It’s always fun to get together with the girls. I always try and get together with the girls more often but everyone’s busy and sometimes it’s hard to schedule girls night. I’m glad you were able to get together with them and surprise them!

Lynndee says
The name of the hotel is Greenleaf Hotel Gensan and the restaurant’s name is Tea Leaf. But I’m sorry, I had no idea what the sauce was. 🙂
