Leaves falling, foliage changing colors and cool mornings. What does that signal? Fall is in the air! Technically, it is still summer but it surely feels a lot like fall. Although I love the warmth that summer brings, I love fall as well. I am the type who embraces change with gusto and the change of season doesn’t bother me at all which you might think is ironic since I was never used to changing seasons. Being from the Philippines, I knew only two seasons: the wet one and the dry one. And both of those occurred during what could only be called a perpetual summer.
Growing up in a tropical country where it is almost summer all year through, the icy cold weather definitely surprised me. My son and I set foot on U.S. soil in the late part of autumn in 2010 and I will never forget the chilly air that welcomed us as soon as we walked out of the airport. That kind of coolness was something that I only felt whenever I opened the fridge back home. It was really a brrrr, to say the least. Nonetheless, I got used to it sooner than I expected, thanks to my loving and generous husband. He made sure that me and my son were kept warm in those cool months. The remedy, (aside from the furnace, of course) was that he took us shopping for cold weather essentials. I love shopping. We women love shopping. Anybody there who doesn’t? (“,)
I have more than enough fall essentials in my wardrobe to keep me warm the whole season so most probably shopping won’t be in my itinerary before fall really gets here. Not unless my husband will surprise me with some shopping here and there. He knows I would surely never say no to it. Wink wink!
I thought of creating mood boards today of the kind of fall apparel that I really find fashionable. Although I must say that I haven’t tried all of these looks yet. I just love the look and I like women who handle this kind of look effortlessly and gracefully. I don’t consider myself a fashionista and I am not the type who goes with all the latest trends or fads. I specifically make it a point that it looks good on me and fits me well. I don’t force myself to something that I don’t like just because it’s the latest in thing. And not to forget, affordability is a necessity. The higher the deal or discount, the better. We get coupons from our favorite stores to shop every now and then, and if there is a need to shop and it is okay with the budget, then we grab it.
Not specifically the color or the brand of the apparels, but these mood boards show the usual set of outfits that women wear during the fall season that I really like.
