And just like that…Christmas is over. Christmas is my most favorite time of the year so I always feel a little sad after it has passed. But there will always be next year so until next year. 🙂
How was your Christmas celebration? I hope it was a wonderful time spent with your loved ones. Ours was wonderful, as always!
Just like the past years, we celebrated our Christmas Eve with my brother-in-law and his family. It’s funny to think about our past Christmases where all the kids were little. Now we only have two little girls left and the other four (three girls and one boy – my son) are now teens. I can’t help, but smile whenever I browse the photos we had from the past Christmas Eve celebrations. Time does fly when we’re having fun, huh?!
And as usual, my sister-in-law who is a certified phenomenal cook prepared a sumptuous dinner. Not only that, there were a bountiful amount of desserts – more than last year, I would say. There were cakes – apple stack and red velvet and different kinds of cookies. I particularly indulged myself in that coconut cookie with raspberry in it. It was so good! I can’t remember how many times I grabbed a bite of it.
One of the little girls created this reindeer cookie. She is one of my sister-in-law’s granddaughters. They always create Christmas cookies with their Nana. This little girl even explained to me how she did it and the ingredients that she used. She is such a witty 6-year-old girl. They also created Santa and Gingerbread Man cookies.
Having dinner at TGI Friday’s on Christmas Day had been our family tradition for the last few years. But it didn’t happen this year though because as soon as we got there at around 6 o’clock in the evening, the waiting was two hours. The line wasn’t that bad in the past. So we left and found ourselves elsewhere where there was not so many people and enjoyed us some T-bone steak. Nom!
We drove by downtown Asheville to enjoy the Christmas lights like we did in the past after having dinner. They added the big snowflake this year and it was so cool!
I don’t take down the Christmas decor over here until after the new year. So it is still festive here. How about at your end?

It sounds like you had a wonderful holiday season. We did, too! I can’t believe it’s almost over already.

What a lovely tradition. We celebrate Christmas Eve at my Sister-in-Law’s also. My husband’s family gathers together and we have dinner then sing Christmas Carols. It is hard to believe that the holidays are almost over. Happy New Year!

Christmas is my favorite too! I am the happiest this year because I was able to share some blessing with my family, unlike the past years. Your Christmas traditions sound fun!

I just took our stuff down yesterday. Now I just have to tackle the outside

My house is all undecorated and put away. I am the kind that does it immediately after Christmas, sometimes the day of!
