Well, kind of the Land Down Under because we went to Outback Steakhouse. For now, it’s the closest we can get to the Land Down Under. Maybe someday we can say, ‘Aye Mate!’ for real. 🙂
If you missed Hubby’s post on Monday, we celebrated our 7th Wedding Anniversary. The hubs decided to take me to Outback Steakhouse since we’d only been there once before when we celebrated Mother’s Day two years ago. This time around, it was only the two of us which I think made it a real wedding anniversary date. 🙂 Our son decided to just stay home because, as per him, it was our wedding anniversary so it should only be the two of us. I would not have minded him tagging along with us at all.
So anyway, the hubs and I decided to fill our tummies to our hearts’ content. It was our anniversary after all.
Let’s start here with dessert, which is what we finished the night with!
Chocolate Thunder from Down Under! Isn’t that a cute name for a dessert? It was so good! It was a pecan brownie which was topped with rich vanilla ice cream, warm chocolate sauce, chocolate shavings and whipped cream.
I just love their bread. So delicious! I had to stop myself from indulging too much though because I didn’t want to ruin my dinner. I might not have room for anything else if I eat a lot of the bread.
Got to have the Bloomin’ Onion when you’re at Outback because you can only have it there. Yum!
My choice of entree…Lobster Tails. If you have been following our blog or my social media channels, you would have known by now that I love seafood big time. These Lobster Tails were steamed and so delicious! Then I had broccoli and mashed potatoes as sides.
Hubby’s choice…Outback Center-Cut Sirloin with mixed vegetables and fully-loaded baked potato as sides.
And as always, orange juice for her and sweet tea for him.
What a fun wedding anniversary dinner it was with good food and of course, great company. ♥
Have you been to Outback Steakhouse before?

It’s always nice to get a little time without the kids with just the two of you. I haven’t been in awhile, but I always love Outback. That bread is some of my favorite.

Thank you, Aduke!
We have been to Outback Steakhouse a few times. It’s so important to have some time with just adults. Congrats on your anniversary!
Thank you, Jenn!
Yum! Your dinner sounds amazing. The Outback here has closed down so I haven’t been to one in a while but I always love the food there.
You just made me so hungry even though we recently ate dinner. I want to have one chocolate from down under delivered, please!
Happy Anniversary! It sounds like you guys had an awesome date.
It has been so long since I’ve been to outback. I love the blooming onion and cheese fries.
The lobster tails look delicious but the time that I tried them I didn’t care for it.
Thank you! 🙂
All of this looks so tasty! Yum.
